The Arlington Cemetery is perhaps one of the most significant burial grounds in America, recognized in photographs, film and on TV by the countless rows of chalky white tombstones. Arlington is the gravesite of former President John F. Kennedy, and buried on the same grounds are two of his children that died in infancy, as well as wife Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis and brother Robert Kennedy. Arlington is also the burial site of 250,000 American soldiers, all of which are honored by the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial and the Tomb of the Unknowns Both memorials pay tribute to the soldiers who fought so bravely in both World Wars, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
