The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum is the only national museum dedicated to the thousands who suffered from Nazi genocide. Visitors will learn not only about the tragic history of the Holocaust, but will also get a glimpse into Jewish culture. Complete with re-creations of the creamatoriums that were used to annihilate hordes of innocent Jews, this museum offers a disturbing insight to Naziism. Moreover, when visitors enter the museum they are provided with an “I.D. card” that gives truthful biographical information of a single victim of the Holocaust, bringing the visitors to a much more intimate and human level of reflection.
